NatWest Boxed: Getting strategic with embedded finance

FTT Chat interview NatWest Boxed, Nick Adams, Commercial Director

At the point of need: NatWest Boxed talks embedded finance and a new era of strategic partnerships

We caught up with Nick Adams, Commercial Director at NatWest Boxed, to get the inside scoop on how the BaaS platform is reimagining financial services through embedded finance, and their latest high-profile partnership with the AA.

Nick explains that their embedded finance partnership allows the AA to diversify it’s revenue beyond roadside assistance and insurance, and offer it’s members additional, contextual financial products at the exact point of need – whether that is lending, savings, or wallet capabilities. The end product is all about convenience, trust, and expanding value through a familiar interface.

“AA members trust the brand. They’re looking for a trusted provider of financial services, so it’s a natural partnership.

Nick goes on to describe the modern, agile platform that NatWest Boxed have built, and how it allows brands to easily integrate and scale specific financial services based on their unique customer needs – also hinting that this is just the beginning with more announcements of equally impressive brand partnerships to follow!

“We’re sitting down with some of the biggest brands in the UK to work out how they can best utilise embedded finance.”
